East end boys back in the 80's in London!
Sweeties for you all sleep well i had to post this classic video of the pet shop boys cause i couldn't stop listening to it another day! sooo good!
The great is that in the video you can see a bit of London back in the 80's and the people style with the leathers jackets, the jeans vest, the hats which we still see it so often on the streets now too! Look those two east end boys lol spending a sunny day at the park in a real 80's style at the present moment...hahaha. Check it out the hair, the sunglasses and the T-shirt with the stripes. The 80's is more than alive on the streets of east London not just in the Pet Shop Boys tune.
That's the inspiration ....back in the 80's...at the golden times of Human League, David Bowie, Madonna...the "back to the future" movie. They knew already at the film what would be the fashion in the future now in 2010...it would be back in the 80's!
Love 80's style London Boys!! Good night! Thau!

Because the rap is not just black!
Guys! Check it out this rapper girl from South east London Kate Tempest. Trust! She is better in live than in any youtube video and she can make rhyme out of any beat. Impressed..plus she can describe London very well in her words hehehe. She is part of the project Tongue Fu which intend to bring on the stage new artists from east London. Kate is for sure a high light. Because the rap is not just from the black! And who said that girly girls like me can not appreciate that too? Thau!

Back in the 90's at the weekend...
Hey Babes... The 90’s are back! I know that i said i was going to talk about the fashion week but i need to tell about the date that me and Mauricio Stein went to do the EXTRA job for the movie the Weekender at a “secret warehouse” at Shoreditch last week. He called me to go there and i thought why not? Easy money right? Hehe
First let me explain you about the British movie that will be on the screen next year. Manchester 90’s, two early 20’ boys start to organize the firsts underground raves in England. What was a sort of illegal parties becomes an absolute success within the London clubs and outrageous Ibiza plus the hedonic Amsterdam. But during their journey over the electronic scene they start to questioning their dreams and solid friendship. Well...that was what i could get. If you want to know more google it! Lol
But what i want to highlight here was the funny 90’s style which the stylist of the movie chose for the extras! Some was great but some was hilarious!
When we got there, after giving our names they gave us some kind of tokes that we could swap for some drinks, softdrinks and snacks. And then they made us wait ages to check out the outfit....so while we were waiting we started drinking some ciders and got friends of a couple of girls from Liverpool at the smoking area.
We were nearly getting drunk and i was already best friend of the guy at the bar ( he was kind of cute but i bet he is gay anyway!) when they called us. The stylist said that i was too modern with my coloured tights and black jump suit....which i totally disagreed cause i was wearing a big shoulders jean jacket which was totally latest 80’s begging of 90’s. Anyway i had to get changed and she gave me a horrible tie dye jumpsuit...god! i can’t believe that people used to wear that to go to parties!!!
Walking around the set we were checking out the outfits. Some girls seemed to be really enjoying the thing with their short tops, high waist skirts, leggings and sun glasses! A perfect rave look. That reminded me when i used to go to some open air raves back in Brazil, and the good of the electronic back in the days was a bit like trance music! Disgraceful!!! Hahahha but we used to have fun spending tree or more days at the parties in a hippie junkie style
But the rave style from the movie was a bit different with some hip hop influences with the coloured trainings, the golden chains, the caps, the jumpers, the coloured socks and the accessories which you liking it or not it is valid to document in here. That can help to understand a bit of the 90’s. Obviously some of them was a bit exaggerated and fake as everything in life! Lol I was thinking...did people really use that at that time??
hahaha the good cassette!! That was really 90's must say!
I am not to sure if people would wear those socks with this trainings back in the 90's....i think it is a way too modern for that time!
Another classic from the 90's computers...well done!
Check it out the prints of those nerds’ jumpers! They were kind of cool! And made the nerds feel a kind of cool too... for one day! Hahahha
One of the girl that i met changing my outfit was just exactly the face of Malu, the girl that used to live in my first house in London when i first came with Luis. Later we found out that she was a prostitute.
The funny thing is that she was a picture of we could call of unsexy! Haha so how she could keep it the business up? We don’t know till now...well we moved out the house after two weeks of course.. and i never saw Malu again but the fact that the girl looked like her was kind of freaking me out! lol I tried to run away but she was chasing us as our best friend and i couldn’t be bad...She lend me a sock and gave me some cigarettes.
Those chives guys were also very excited! I think they still dress like this till now...in some of those big festivals around England...and they think they are really cool! Hahaha I think the production called them to make the guys without t-shirt in the club scene! Disgusting.... and then people ask me why i like gayish guys.... that could be an answer.
Suddenly we saw some people having some food and we went to check it out the menu! That was the perfect dog’s food! And i thought that the food in a filming day would be a bit more glamours! hehe No... nothing glamours..
After convinced my friend from the bar to swap a water token for a cider we went outside to wait for the next scene and then we met Jack O’ Conell , “the star of the movie”, having a cigarette. Of course i went to ask him for a lighter. ( that is always a good excuse to start a conversation! Lol that is why i never bring mine to a party! Hahahaha).
He was cute as in the pictures and really nice...i asked him when that thing would finishes cause i was tired and he told me “ don’t tell me!” haha He said that he had a Brazilian girlfriend once....hahaha and i didn’t know if that was just a real fact or a lie to be friendly or even a lie to flirt with me...would be great the last option! Hahahaha
So we went for the scene at the set. That was a nightmare. The director played the electronic music and the crowd of 30 people had to pretend to be at the best rave ever dancing like party animals while Jack O’ Conell tried to get some drugs at the movie.
Some girls next to us was kind of pushing and squeezing chasing after the camera. I was feeling already claustrophobic in there! But was a way of fun me and Mauricio pretending been a couple to make up a hot scene ( as we did once for real when we first met at the trailer trash party 3 years ago.. lol)! Giving our best to them!
To be honest i enjoyed dancing during that whole afternoon what reminded me a bit of the Berlin’s club. Because that doesn’t happen in London.. having some parties in a club till afternoon...at 4 am everything finishes and you have to start a hard journey after a house party! Awful!
Then i asked to leave a little bit earlier cause i was late for my next an appointment...i took the last cider and i left! Bye!

What you need for a after party in East London!!
Hey all! I'm in the mood to write something funny! A bit different of the perfect and beautiful blogs which give you tips for a great look! ( nothing against my adorable blogger friends)...but it is just my mood of the day after seeing a lot of things at the LFW which i want to post it in here. Just feeling a bit lazy at the moment once i have to select the pictures out of the more than 200 that i took of the event! lol But honestly i think the subject bellow is a bit more important...kkkkkk
Here it go... some recipients of how to make a good after party in east London....lol and a example of some of the common elements...If you wanna make a good one you need to have at least one or two of those...Follow the steps...That is for my dickhead friends!! hehehe love you all!
1) A pack of tabaco for rolling cigarettes. After long hours parting no body can afford the normal ones anymore...
2) Secrets chats at the kitchen. Totally private...for a selected group at the party...
3) Flag prints are in fashion inside the east end boys' rooms....they kinda of can help them to hold it back the desire of getting naked already...still a bit early...
4) A collection of Pandas....because panda is a lovely animal!
5) Pandas....plus a couple of history books...actually London is a multicultural place so is always good to learn a bit of other countries! That can help to keep it a conversation during the after...also speaking another language is a plus!
6) Classic of East London at the moment..a couple of Swedish at the corridor...(kitchen, bathroom, balcony...they are everywhere! lol) They should move the capital of Sweden to Shoreditch or Dalston. They are great people actually!Bloody Party animals! When i was back in Brazil and i used to think about Sweden i never could imagine how crazy the Swedish are...kkk
7) A bit of decoration in the toilet...in a toy story style..where is the Ken?????? That is all i wanna know! Did anyone see it? That is why he had a pink car at movie...i always knew he was gay..lol
8) 2 white cats death and gays...and one of them may run away to the street in the middle of the night...but don't worrie he will come back after one or two days. I remember very well when i used to look after them in my lovely previous flat in Shadwell...and instead of feeling grateful the cute devils used to piss in my bed...oh god!
9) A spontaneous naked scene... there is always a moment that it is not possible to hold it back anymore! Freedom!!! kkk
10) A gay guy feeling himself straight for one night...and sexy...very sexy as he never felt! What was that thing that your friend gave to you earlier?
And obviously a straight girl trying to hook up with a gay guy...classic too! Pretty much...i have been there many times! Which girl doesn't?? I hope my friend Mauricio Stein don't keep talking about it! lol
This is just some basics...just a trivial, nothing more. bye
Well leaving the trash things on the side...next post i will show a bit of the menswear installations at the LFW.

Because we girls are all in a panic attack, right?
Watch more cool animation and creative cartoons at Aniboom
This all about how hard is to experiment been a girl and our hard and freak journey to the success in a contemporary time...we all know...let's not panic! hehehe
For those days that we want to get away of the electronic parties...
The Brassroots’ show last Thursday at the Rich Mix bar showed that the live music and the venue goes very well together and can be a option for the east end people when they want to get away a bit of the electronic nights.
I have to say that i also like some instrumental music a part of our good techno/ electro of every day..lol. The band formed in 2008, among the streets of East London, showed us a impressive groove and energy on stage.
The group of musicians made from a variety different countries and backgrounds including England, Israel, France, Greece and America, brought an unbelievable real live instrumental performance to the venue.
They presented some of the well known pop music in a unique and challenging format and style such as some classics of Radiohead and some others in a bag of goodies.
A part of the music i could check it out some people that has been there at the London east end cinema and they prove to have a bit of style ...some more than the others...of course...hahaha
Check it out this couple that i found seating in the corner. I loved their rock and unique style and i am sure that it should be a kind of normal basic outfit for them! Hahaha a simple look to walk around till the east London cinema. They reminded me a bit of Lennon and Yoko Ono ( if she would have a blondie European style). The amazing is how they didn't get embarrassed with the picture...they may be use to it! kk
I like the pink boots...well i like pink anyway as you can see it. But i never wear pink in my outfits as my good Swedish friend Tove ( i miss her) used to. I personal rather the red if i want to look feminine, it is a bit fatale....ulala.. Normally i like to see the pink in the decoration, in the walls or things ( ah.. and in the lipstick! Makes a doll look! So adorable! i have my days of the mood for sure too) People can notice my fascination with the coulor when they come to visit me in my lovely flat at Shoreditch. For some reason that makes me happy and relief from the dark and cruel world outside...hehehe
Well getting back to the people at that day...
Doesn’t matter the age people can still dance with the groove ...and have the style! And sometimes even more like this lady! I like that attitude and i absolutely loved the print in her shirt combined with the jeans! Very colorful and funky! Vintage from the late 60’s and beginning of 70’s.
Those two appeared to be having a great fun...
The girl on the left catched my attention with the doll look made from the white lace dress, the pink make up on the cheeks giving a light outfit but the bleached hair can also add a aggressive tone to the look... which i like it! light and aggressive at the same time... sexy! I am kind of finding girls sexy at the moment...lol
We Londoners love glasses, glasses and glasses ...any type! It because we all want to look more intelligent and smart than we actually and we try to prove the world with a pair of frames. Is a good way to showed yourself a bit cult or intellectual even if when you are not at all. The trick works! Especially to come to a cinema and an alternative live band show or culture centre...oh..yeah...let's talk about films while we get pissed. 'I got my glasses so i am able for that now'...hehe
Also the jean shirt and the leather jacket is a simple and classic combination which works at any time! Trust me! Was a good look but sometimes girls around Shoreditch should be more original i think!
I got a bit impressed by the type of instruments...looked amazing...bye!
