Around the installations of the LFW 2010

The designer William Richard Green of the menswear installations at the Summer Set House in Embankment. For more details about his work: www.williamrichardgreen.com.

The fashion week in London once more was all about creativity, irreverence, attitude and boldness styles. A mix of the romantic vintage, the futurist colors and the aggressive dark leathers in different fabrics and designs. The sophistication met the versatile, street and stripped looks durind that lovely afternoon. The collections brought a sort of innovations also with some aspirations from the good classic styles. Accessories...accessories...that was a must! Even in the installations even on the people looks!

This year's event is still in vogue and i found interesting to comment here about some of the new coming up designers and collections made by young Londoners. The intention is to show up what is in their mind which turns up in what we see on the streets. Also the public around the installations demonstrated a super connection with the event being some of them photographers, bloggers, cool hunters, stylists or not even more than fashion lovers.

I have been to the Top Man catwalk with my friend Mauricio Stein and after we went to see the installations. He wanted to check it out the sunglasses made by him in a collaboration between his brand Maustein and William Richard Green. They are absolutely amazing!!! So during the event i could hunt for some interesting styles and characters being able to show some cool bits of that in here. And as usual we ended up having fun.

First i waited for Mau for half hour inside the installation already while he was late waiting for Luis Falconeri, my bipolar friend...hahahhaa. When i was nearly getting pissed from the bubbly served in sophisticated plastic cups..hehehe they arrived. I was there hanging around, chatting to some random people and asking details about the collections. Luis arrived complaining saying that he couldn't stand anymore this freak obsession about fashion around London and our (me and Mauricio) gagaiste crises ( term made up trough friends to classify a way of life inspired in Lady Gaga...kkkk)...but obvious not in a literal way..just a joke... but its truth that she can be a model of life for many superficial girls or gay guys in London at the moment. Well skipping the gagaistes i must say that i got impressed with the quality and ideas of some of the brands. Very good stuff!

Check it out some of the people and some of the collections exposed on that day!

This guy reminded me a bit of the Man in Black film's style kkk. Cool sunglasses and the suit with jeans is always a casual elegant option.

I loved the Japanese style hair and the turtle sunglasses.

Attention to the accessories and the cloth bag is always great for a day time casual momens.

The platform version style, very 80's is a way too cool in a black leather. They can make up a street casual outfit and also they can go sophisticated depending on the combination of the look. I want to get one...i think girls can use them too!!

No more "just right"hair styles... they can be extremely boring..why not to bleach it or frizz it?? And the pink lipstick is a option when you are not in the red one's mood.

She told me that she got those pairs of shoes in a vintage shop in Covent garden. I love them with the lilac bent trousers.

The white lace with transparencia is always a romantic also sensual look. And cameras...cameras...cameras..everywhere.

And i met the Harry Potter...kkk i always found the character very fashionable in his geek "soooo english" classic style. It is cute and charming...but to be honest i have never watched or read any of the histories...and now after the 5th movie i think i wouldn't be able to get it anymore...lol. I don't like fantasies histories...thats is for children...i like real and cruel histories! haha and they say that the best seller is one of the most read books within mothers at the moment...i think can be a way to escape of their realities and relax a bit...may work!

I like the black shoes...is a bit rocky.

Mauricio backpack...if you found it cool i can ask him where he got it from...but if i am not wrong i think it was from China or Japan...not too sure...but looks like! He and his obsession about Japanese or Chinese things! hahahahah but for sure they are ahead of our time. I love when he travels and bring me some funny souvenirs or weird candies...hehehehe

This bag made from interlaced fabrics shows that the rustic can be very sophisticated too. U can use it anywhere!!

The Top Man's accessories designer, Mark Gumm. His sports jumper is from the new NY's brand Supreme. It is funny how i always crash on him in some of the underground nights around Dalston! So we spent some time having a random chat outside while we were having a cigarette.

Mauricio and his sunglasses designed by him in collaboration with the designer Cher de la Cruz. Take a look at Maustein.com. I need to steel one from him!! hehehe

Back inside...I have no idea where this leather jacket is from...but i really like the design and format.

With the busy days in London we all need bags ...even the guys...and they are getting each time bigger and more fashionable and they can say a lot of the owner personality and lifestyle.

The detail on the jean shirt of the stylist Andre DeVeaux made a lot of difference in the outfit! I couldn't not register it!

With the leather trousers ...it is just perfect! For some more of his ideas check his webpage:
http://andredeveaux.com

Around Will's installation i met Jess Jobst from the brand Fanny and Jessy! She looked so lovely in this coat designed by her which had no right to be so cool! The material was perfect chosen and can be great to be used inside clubs giving a lot of charm and sophistication to a casual outfit a part of the funky details of the golden chains. She sent me her lookbook which i have to publish in here and in the others pages which i am writing for at the moment. Because the collection super deserve it! She is also designing some sunglasses in collaboration with Maustein which i hope to be able to show in here soon too! And them i asked her: " Are we allowed to smoke inside??" hahaha i couldn't be bother to go outside again because i wanted to be close to the bubbly...and she said..".i don't know ...but we are doing all the time!" lol.
To know more about Fanny and Jessy check it out their website:
www.fannyandjessy.co.uk or visit their blog http://fannyandjessy.blogspot.com/.

Hummm...Black Laces ( so sexy), red lipstick, over sized sunglasses and pearls...pearls...a lot of pearls!!! We love pearls!! Real, plastic..doesn't matter! That was a very powerful look i must say combining the futurist of the sunglasses with the retro of the necklace!

I loved the colored vintage style blouse. And the hair with the round sunglasses brought something hippie to the outfit which had also some modernity trough the geek bits of the look and the japanese fringe. She reminded me a lot of the CSS's (Cansei de ser Sexy) singer. It's a very cool band from Sao Paulo, Brazil, which has played in a lot of festivals in UK. http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=cansei+de+ser+lets+make+love&aq=4
Cansei de ser sexy means i am tired to be sexy...like in those cover magazines full of fake tans girls! What the geek Sao Paulo's band wants is to be cool and play music! "Let's make love"...but they are still sexy...but in a less cliche and obvious way!

Trousers from Williams Richard Green. The material is perfect for the London's winter! It is like a jumper trousers! Brilliant! Mauricio really like it. He said that he will e-mail Will to ask for one of the item! He should! so cool!

William Richard GreenX Maustein sunglasses. I love their design!

This was a look with lot of details! The vintage square bag, the golden watch and the superimposition of different fabrics.
The black people knows how to make fashion with their funky hair and daring attitude. His shirt looks like a pop art...that was definitively a catch! I was wondering from where was that from...will have to find out!

The American model from Texas, Cole Mohr. Some of the big brands he has worked for: Valentino, Dior Homme and Marc Jacob.

This design in her head was very futuristic...dont you think?

High Light for the menswear designer, Katie Eary. She had a very creative installation with the idea of a wrestling ring where she could showed her leopard prints in the boxes gloves. With lovely boys wearing it! lol
Attention to the amazing shoes! They have wings....it is for a sort of vampire girls! hehe

and the skinny spiky belt just gave a perfect add to the look. To get to know more about her work visit her blog: http://katieeary.blogspot.com.

The mustaches are really "in fashion" in London lol giving a medieval look i think. I love the design of this tie...very elegant! And please let your tufts grow! hahahaha It is super in now, specially with curls!

Who said that guys can not wear pink??? This is a tabu from past...in London they use baby...and in very different styles! Look this one with some Japanese influence.

Again the japanese style in this girl's Kimono...for me this look is very sophisticated with this Prada bag with fringes. Fashion is also for sure the art to mix cultures and influences in one look!

Colored t-shirts with formats prints!! The Fashion blogger Yu Masui loved it! He is one those characters that you can find in all of the Fashion events in London. He knows how to dress up! Check it out his Givenchi outfit by Riccardo Tisci!

This sandals was an absolutely scandal for me that i can't even explain it! sooo good! For more tips from the expert fashion lover visit his blog: http://parsnipsuk.blogspot.com.

More t-shirts, colors, prints, polka dots!!

Shorts in a retro bathing trunks style by Morgan Allen Oliver.

Jumpers with different prints!!! Pick one for the winter!!

Once more i met the accessorize designer, Fred Butler. Her style brings a innovation of neon colors, designs and shapes using different materials. It is a bit of a mix of modern ideas and the retro from the 80's at the same time I believe.

Check those super colored bracelets! They seems from an imaginary world!

The superimposition of prints is really her style in a bit extravagant too. To understand a bit more of her work visit http://fredbutlerstyle.blogspot.com.

Ah...and the shoes were there...a lot of shoes...i love them! Vintage, Rockabilly, punk, classic..They are a must in a Londoner guy's wardrobe!

For this outfit maybe even the activists would let it go because of the smart combination of different styles making a sort of "Afro chic" hehehehe.

This cherry cardigan was actually really cheerful and sweet with the rest of the combination of the look! Very feminine...

the retro bag with the chess long skirt...

with the red dolls shoes...

And the hair style reminded me a bit of Amelie Polan. Thoses 50's, 60's influences are getting back! Did you see the latest Lady Gaga's magazine cover? She is wearing a retro style underwear and she looks really sexy!

I loved this outfit a bit boyish with a bit of Beatles influence in the sunglasses. Really good ...and the high waist trousers/skirts are in fashion too.

Amazing this pink leopard shirt with the dark blue high waist shorts!! Perfect!!

This a perfect bag for a modern person being a guy or a girl...it is totally unisex and so cool! I personal love big black leathers bags! You can carry your laptop, your camera, books, clothes, portfolio...because in London we rarely have time to go back home from one appointment to another! So you need to be ready when your day starts!!

There is no way to describe those vintage style hand made bags by Willians Hand Made. They are just brilliant and the design look so artistic. That is an art for me!

Model wearing some of the clothes from the Baartmans and Siegel collection. Very Elegant and English! hehe

some more of the Baartmans and Siegel shoes...inspired by the classic style.

Well and after walking here and there we stopped once more by the free drinks! hahahaha because we are posh lol Who cares??? lol

And tired of looking at the installations ....me, Mauricio, Luis and Mark went outside for a fresh air. Ah i forgot to show here...and this was my friend which made me company while i was waiting for Mauricio at the beginning! I loved the style...just the piercing i found a bit too much! but He guaranteed to me that it was no pain. hahahaha Anyway...no pain no gain...right? Specially for the piercings and tattoo lovers...if it is no painful it is no cool! hahaha. I was just wondering if he did that by himself. I bet he did! By the way the jean vest he told me that he designed himself...and that was cool!

So at that point Luis was already complaining that he was hungry as usual and he wanted to have some lunch somewhere! And as usual Mauricio suggested a organic restaurant at Soho recommended by the WGSN list! hahahahhahahahahahha Oh my god this list was for so many time a reason of arguments and polemics in many trips. Luis used to say: "Mauricioooo! The restaurant doesn't need to be cool! I just wanna eat something!!!" kkkk But i confess that all the time when i go somewhere i also ask him for the list....lol but i never have the patience to follow it because i always loose the focus getting lost in some party! Me and Luis! hehe

After the lunch i had to go to the Richmix for an exhibition and the guys went to our friend Asger Juel's installation at the Machine-A. http://asgerjuellarsen.blogspot.com/

Affff that was a long post! Hope you all like it!! thau!!
